Written two months after the launch
I have spoken and acted; I firmly believe that I will succeed, and I hope that everyone who reads this text will also achieve success
How many people like that are there? Turn your head and look around, are there few? Then look at yourself, how many dare to pat their chest?
I often see a saying: "Life is already hard enough, can writing be a bit more enjoyable?" Every time I see it, I want to laugh, not at the latter part, but at the former— I will strive to make my writing more enjoyable and easier to digest, but the first part is indeed quite amusing— a person who has no worries about food and clothing, who works or studies for no more than 10 hours a day, and still has spare time and money to browse the internet and read novels, is actually complaining? Am I too naive, or is this statement actually ironic? Or can someone tell me what they are suffering from? Some say that in today's society, interpersonal relationships are paramount, and the mindset of self-advancement has become outdated for a century. This notion is fundamentally misguided. Interpersonal relationships are a vast and intricate field, akin to a labyrinth, and those who truly excel in this domain have already reached the pinnacle of their nations and even the world. It is not something to be taken lightly; it is not merely about sharing a few drinks or exchanging pleasantries to be considered adept in interpersonal dealings. While this may not be very apparent among students, once one enters the workforce, regardless of the industry or level, who is not manipulated, and who does not manipulate others? There are both subtle and overt maneuvers, and many operate in the shadows. Those who manage these relationships well ascend, while those who do not find themselves as mere cannon fodder, venting their frustrations over beers, cursing society and their companies. If a person lacks ambition and courage, I find it hard to imagine how they could navigate the complexities of social interactions with ease.
In a world of online literature dominated by various negative emotions such as darkness, cold-bloodedness, and reliance on others for one's fate, I aim to promote positive qualities of humanity such as kindness, integrity, brightness, diligence, courage, and ambition. This is the original intention behind my writing and my sole principle. Everything else, including the content and style, is negotiable and adjustable, whether it pertains to writing techniques or perspectives, expression methods, or any other aspects. If a harem genre could better convey these themes, I would not hesitate to give it a try. Some people say that I am just an ordinary person who does not wish to save the world, so it is enough to live an ordinary life, and that concepts like bravery and strength are too distant from me. They are mistaken; I have never espoused any lofty theories. Whether it is perseverance or ambition, these are the most fundamental qualities that everyone should possess, not to become a superhero, but to be a decent ordinary person.
In my book, there is a character named Cheng Yuan, who represents the weak. Naturally, she receives treatment befitting her weakness; she does not perish due to her frailty, but rather due to her own timidity and fear. In reality, the world is certainly not as cruel as that of the main god, and weak individuals do not die, yet we can still draw comparisons. Consider the person in a class or workplace who is most bullied; does anyone still find weakness to be an amusing matter
Of course I remember
In writing a novel, encountering a few difficult characters, facing some harsh truths that may not necessarily be right or wrong, and experiencing temporary setbacks, one should not simply abandon the effort. From statements in the TJ declaration such as "I won't serve anymore," it is evident how grand the initial ambitions were and how resentfully one departed in the end. Is fleeing at the first sign of minor difficulties truly a demonstration of "courage"? The listing is now concluded; I will now share some personal reflections.
Ancient sages have already taught us how to assess a person: the key is not to focus on what they say, but rather on what they do
People generally dislike being reprimanded or taught a lesson, and I too do not enjoy hearing unpleasant truths. However, I possess a quality known as rationality that intervenes when I am about to lose my temper. It is essential to first assess whether these statements hold any validity. An interesting phenomenon occurs: when these truths are presented to those who already possess them and have achieved success, they nod in agreement with a smile, acknowledging their accuracy. Conversely, when these truths are conveyed to those who lack them, many react as if their tails have been stepped on, jumping up in indignation. The more one needs these qualities, the more vehemently they tend to reject them, which is indeed a remarkable occurrence.
Some readers find it quite strange that this book has been published, as it seems the author's previous unfortunate performance has created a misconception—that the individual, who truly had no choice, is someone who stands against the world and is at odds with human norms. Now, he has finally started to think about money! Indeed, this is a significant misunderstanding, and with the release of version 3.0, this misunderstanding appears to be expanding. It is rather embarrassing. Indeed, this is a significant misunderstanding, and with the release of version 3.0, this misunderstanding appears to be expanding. It is rather embarrassing.
A few days ago, someone mentioned that everyone knows about the things related to three-year-old children, and that it is unnecessary for a certain individual to offer their opinions. But does everyone really know? Whether from life experiences or novels, I truly have not noticed that!
Recently, I learned a new term—"wenqing". It seems that this is not exactly a compliment, and unfortunately, it appears that this label can also be applied to me. However, I have always been quite indifferent to such labels. Whether it is "wenqing", "fenqing", or any other kind of "qing", it is all acceptable. Promoting righteousness and encouraging self-reliance and strength, I firmly believe that there is nothing wrong with this.
After graduating from school, one must find a job. Countless adults are roaring about the difficulty of employment! Is it really that hard to find a good job? It is actually quite easy! Every year, well-known companies and government agencies rush to various schools, vying to sign contracts with the top students from each department. Do ordinary "mortal" students want to save ten years of effort? Enhance yourself by accumulating rewards, transform yourself into a top student, and the rest will take care of itself—let me share a secret: there aren't many smart people in university. Most are just passing time with their books while thinking about finding jobs through others in the future. All you need to do now is invest a little perseverance and initiative, and soon enough, jobs will come seeking you! Cars, houses, and money will all come rolling in. While others trade three carefree years for thirty years of hard work in the future, I believe that smart people would do the opposite.
It has been two months since the launch, and I have not said much. It seems somewhat disrespectful to the conventions of the platform. After some thought, I believe it is better to say something, treating this as a belated announcement of the launch. Moreover, it seems that I have not written anything to commemorate my years of writing for over a year now, so I should leave behind some words.
I must express my gratitude to the editors at Qidian. It is remarkable that they have not given up on such a mediocre book and are willing to offer affirmation and encouragement. Additionally, this has silenced those who have been shouting that there is no choice but to be a talentless person unable to publish. Although the subscriptions are only over 100, we have still managed to publish, haven't we? In fact, I can be quite petty!
In life, it is impossible to avoid doing things. From attending school to going to work, from falling in love to raising children, countless tasks await each day. In life, one cannot escape difficulties, whether it is struggling with a math problem or needing a loan to buy a house, from facing challenges in pursuing a girlfriend to dealing with disobedient children. Difficulties accompany everyone until the day they enter the coffin. Some people manage these matters well, navigating through life with ease, while others stumble along the way. In today's era, it is not a problem to find food, but a few hundred years ago, that would have meant starving to death.
Yesterday, while chatting with a friend, we talked about writing novels. My friend mentioned that many people start writing novels but, as they continue, they forget their original intention for writing. As a result, their work becomes increasingly chaotic, and ultimately, they can only either abandon it or let it fizzle out. Then, they asked me if I still remembered what my original intention was.
The so-called ordinary "mortal" refers to those who are merely getting by in life, rather than those who have achieved their ideal state or a picture-perfect existence. Which mortal does not have their own aspirations for further advancement? Do they wish to find a good job? Do they aspire for a promotion? Do they desire a salary increase? Do they want to buy a house? Mortals have too many desires, and it is precisely because they are mortals that they require the qualities of success even more.
Then ...? ... Then I went on to say a lot of nonsense, which is actually unnecessary for ordinary people. One should not view the issue in such a manner; at its core, it is a question of whether to take a step forward or a step back.
By the way, words like courage and strength seem reminiscent of the language found in elementary school textbooks, which sounds somewhat strange. However, on the other hand, do adults not need strength and perseverance? It appears that adults may need them even more.
Students who do not put in the effort to study, even if they know that diligently memorizing vocabulary for one hour every day for three months would allow them to pass Level 4, still fail to act on this knowledge and subsequently fail their courses. By this reasoning, can this be considered an understanding of "diligence"?
Some say that being weak is not a sin. How should I respond to this? Indeed, being weak is not a sin, but if one chooses to remain in a state of weakness, then one must accept the treatment that comes with it. In school, scholarships and honors will certainly not be awarded to such a person. In the workplace, the one who works the hardest and bears the most burdens is also the one who receives the lowest salary and bonuses, the last to be promoted or allocated housing, and the one who must take the blame when things go wrong. This is what weakness entails. Is it unreasonable? Not at all. It would be absurd to reverse this situation, allowing capable individuals to earn the lowest wages while the weak occupy high positions in society. Wouldn't that be a joke?
Certainly, this is an extreme situation set in a novel; most people would not fall into such dire straits. Everyone is an ordinary "mortal." Life is lived in a mediocre manner, neither good nor bad in class, and neither high nor low at work. Occasionally, one might receive a third-class scholarship, and the salary is approximately at the city's average level
Ordinary "mortal" office workers have likely reached the point of wanting to buy a house. However, everyone knows that relying on the average salary means it would take a lifetime to afford a home. So, what should ordinary people who wish to buy a house do? Should they pray for a collapse in the housing market or blame the government for its incompetence? Venting frustration is a sign of weakness; wise ordinary people should focus on enhancing their skills and becoming stronger "mortals," after which owning a home will naturally follow. If one is unsure of how to proceed, they can observe those around them who can afford homes, earning salaries that are seven to eight times, or even dozens of times, higher than their own. These individuals share a similar background; why should they be so much more successful? Lacking willpower and ambition, waiting passively for opportunities to fall into their laps, such individuals may manage to scrape by for a decade or two, but achieving the life they desire is akin to a collision between Mars and Earth!
As for the employees, it can be said that the vast majority of salespeople find their daily work lacking. When instructed to make one hundred marketing calls, in reality, fewer than thirty are made. Consequently, they fail to achieve results and cannot earn bonuses, yet they blame the company for not valuing or promoting them. Is this what is meant by "initiative"?
I have been searching for ways to make these positive qualities more readily accepted from the heart, allowing this book or similar works to be embraced by a larger audience—put more plainly, how to evolve into a great figure with hundreds of thousands of readers. ... After all, I have only been doing this for a little over two years, and I still have many years ahead of me to continue, even though my efficiency seems to be somewhat low, there is still room for improvement.
Success requires courage, perseverance, and hard work. Everyone yearns for the grand achievements of a novel's protagonist. It is indeed necessary to promote these qualities.
I am not fixated on being listed, nor am I fixated on not being listed. Being listed is a recognition of my own efforts. I am not the so-called solitary and self-appreciating "pure stream"; why should I be at odds with the world? It is a good thing for someone to affirm themselves.
Finally, let's celebrate my upcoming birthday in advance. This will be my third nineteenth birthday since I started writing books
